Erika Remedios is a Resource Specialist teacher within the Montebello Unified School District. She holds a Mild-to-Moderate Education Specialist Credential, Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and a Master’s in Education. She is a Fellow of the Los Angeles Writing Project. She has taught the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) elective, English, Science, and Math. She was a member of the science and math textbook adoption team. Currently, she is a Consulting Mentor Teacher in the district's Teacher Induction Program and a Google Ambassador. She also serves as a member of the district's Environmental Science Literacy Committee. She has partnered with environmental non-profit organizations such as Grades of Green and TreePeople to promote youth leadership and environmental stewardship. She is passionate about continually seeking ways to improve student learning while empowering students to become agents of change by becoming environmentally conscious of how our daily lifestyle choices impact our environment.
